Brand Spotlight Zurishi

from around the world

We have been lucky enough as a family to live in many places around the world. Due to our experiences, we have had the opportunities and exposure to many different brands.  However, I love women owned companies. It’s also especially impressive if there are moms hard at work making their dreams come true.

It’s with that I would like to introduce you to Zurishi.

Introducing Zurishi

I was first introduced to Zurishi by the head designer and owner Gemma Scott.  Gemma is a (gorgeous!) model but she is also a working mother.  Since Gemma was already working in fashion, after having her daughter she was always on a look out for cute clothing.  She couldn’t find any feminine clothes for little girls made with ecologically conscious materials.  This inspired her to get her ideas to work.

Australian Style

Gemma is from the beautiful laidback eastern coast of Australia and her style reflects that. In Zurishi she put together a capsule collection that infuses beach girl style, modern silhouettes, soft colours and pretty details.  It’s perfect for the modern little lady in your life. Let’s start early influencing girls to make conscious decisions. Fashion can inspire us in many ways and at any age. We can even send a message of saving the earth through our clothing choices.

Sustainable Ethical Fashion

That said not only is Zurishi SLOW sustainable fashion.  It’s also fashion for a cause.  Zurishi donates 20% of its profits to Karuna Animal Shelter.  The Karuna Animal Shelter has devoted much of its time to rescue of dogs from the Yulin Dog Festival.  For Zurishi, it’s not only about showing our daughters the importance of saving our environment but extending compassion and care to all living creatures.
