Happy New Year Everyone!
Now what Do I have to say about 2021? Well I just hope it’s more than what we got last year. I think last year (especially since I’m American) there were so many mixed feelings that come up. Literally everything hit the fan you know I mean?
TBH 2020 I’m happy you are gone
I think in the past I’ve tried to be really positive about all situations, because I was raised to try to see the good. I would always interpret the glass as half full. 2020 for some reason was a maelstrom of so many things compounded. I don’t know about you but I was just constantly reactionary in my actions. After awhile it starts chipping away at my optimism.
#positivevibesonly
So I hope this New Year brings all those good vibes back! I have some small tips to give you, so you can start feeling good about yourself again. They are very simple, but I love it if you came back and told me some of your tips.
make a list
Put together a very basic to do list with items like go grocery shopping and fold laundry. At the end of day cross them off, after awhile slowly start adding other items to do. Include doing small things for other people (your kids count!). This will help you feel some achievement and that you are productive.
spread the love
Another way to mentally help yourself and others is to text, call or go on social media and tell your friends how much you do miss them or thank them for being your friend. Whenever I feel down all I need to do is just go and basically comment on everybody I know on Instagram and just say the most sincere things I can think of. It feels good to be kind.
When I speak or do actions from the heart, I try to ignore all the negative emotions I have (I can always save that for another day) it makes me feel better. The best way to counter melancholy is to put some of that sad energy into something brighter for others.
there’s always those resolutions
For my New Year Resolutions, I want to work more often on the blog and want to improve my photography. The most important thing for me though is to keep myself open, to not go back into that dark 2020 mood. I want to be optimistic, but it really begins with me. So with that I will work on being positive, helping others and moving forward. I wish the very same for you!
