As a little girl I hoped. I even prayed for this very moment. Nothing would have me more excited to see my childhood self go back to my future self and say:

I mean it’s like completely nuts for me because growing up you’re sort of embarrassed all the time about being an “oriental” immigrant. First off nobody knew where this small country was. Then of course if they knew they ask you if you’re in the war. To give you scope my mother was born right after the war.

I digress from my immigrant flashback. Anyways the only moments when I could get any street cred to South Korea was with their stationary products. I just remember always getting some cool pencil case and erasers. That was enough to get me some time away from making fun of my country. Since hey our parents even made school fashionable with all the cute studying gear!
Always Known
Well now the whole world knows it! Somehow all the annoying (yes I know we annoying) Korea is the BEST propaganda somehow worked. Now we are on the main stage. I totally love it because people see how our style is very indicative of our personality. Korea you can be so many things. We are a different kind of people. We are unconventional. You can be smart and you can be fashionable. You can also be vain! And it’s ok to be corny too! We embrace things that cool people can’t ever admit it to like!
