finally Sourcing pictorial content
For your blog posts, you will need photos! Now I’ve talked about this many times before I use my own photos. The reason why is I don’t want to have any kind of copyright issue. Plus it’s also a way for me to display a lot of the work that I want to show, sometimes I really don’t get the chance. So for me it’s a win-win but for other bloggers there are several other options.
Long time ago
Actually in 2009, I was planning a gossip blog. I realized though that often you have to pay for photographer’s photos from agency such as Getty Images. However I didn’t want to go into debt since I’m someone who always err on the side of caution. I don’t wanna get sued! Many of these photo agencies with pictures of celebrities have a copyright, and you have to pay for their use. Usually using their service can become expensive. You have to find a way to pay for it and if your site is not popular enough yet then you will be in the red.
Photos on a budget
I have 2 good recommendations for stock photos. You can use so those as much as you want while just paying a monthly fee. You can use Shutterstock and once again Canva. You just pay a monthly fee and can use any photo that they have in their database. However if you do use a photo you found on Internet, I would say just credit the site that the photo came from first. If the owner gets upset that you have used their photo, then you can immediately just offer to take it down. I think that as long as the intention is there to credit and to immediately offer to acquiesce, that’s another way to cover all your bases.
