Also if your child not have USA passport they can not work as a model.

However, many children can not model. Temperament is more important than looks. If your child is shy or afraid of the camera, it’s not a good idea to stress them out further by putting them in front and centre. At the same time if your child has high energy and can not focus not sit still for less than a few minutes, then how can a photographer get any photos?

Before you start exploring this I would say, book your child a session at your local photo studio. Observe how your child is at the session. Ask your photographer for natural candid style and see how your child photographs. Also make sure the photos from the session do not have heavy editing. Do not use hats, sunglasses or pacifiers in these photos because anything cover the face will be useless. Since if all goes well you can proceed with contacting agencies and submitting these photos.

Now you can start contacting agents. In modeling always best for you to live near big metro area particularly NYC and LA. The main reason is because of castings which are the equivalent of an in-person audition. If you can’t attend castings then you can’t get jobs. So don’t feel bad because unfortunately if the jobs aren’t in your area then an agency can’t contact you.

Living in the right market

Where you live means also has big part of to your success. Unless you live in a major market area the amount of work will be very small. The biggest markets are in NYC and LA, there’s also some work in Chicago and Florida. If any agency as you to make a payment to join them, then that’s a red flag. Agencies usually only charge 20-30% charge of money you make from jobs.
