Keep them busy
Have a seat for those you who want some ideas on volunteering with kids! I guarantee that helping others is much better than screen time for your kids.
WHere you’re from
If you’re living in your hometown, that’s pretty easy. Go back to the places that you remember as a child. Try your local church, temple, mosque, etc for ideas. If you work for a company that has community outreach that’s another, go to resource.
Ask School
Ask your teachers at school if they know of an organization that needs help. Usually this can be very well suited to your children’s’ ages. It can even be better if this coincides with what they are learning in class. For example, the food bank is an organization that always need assistance.
look at the calendar
Think about the time of year and weather. There are always clothing drives and special holidays that require donations. Make cleaning out closets and attics also good deeds. I let my kids sell old objects and donate the proceeds.
SociaL Media can be positive
Finally, look at your local social media in your area. So many charitable organizations now have participation days that involve the entire family. Find unusual ways to contribute that your children can do. So often kids don’t think they can make a difference. However, once they realize they can, not only will it be good for the charity but also for their mental health
